Orientation Trainings for First-Year Students of Our Faculty for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Held.

On September 30 and October 3, 2024, our faculty held orientation trainings for first-year students of the Midwifery, Nursing, and Social Work Departments. In the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Sevim ÇELİK, Vice Rector of our University and Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, provided information about our university, introduced the vice deans, department heads, and faculty members, and emphasized student-centered education.
 
As part of the training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal UYSAL, Head of the Nursing Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hacer YALNIZ DİLCEN, Head of the Midwifery Department, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep TURHAN, Head of the Social Work Department, gave presentations introducing the program objectives, goals, contents, and responsible persons of their respective departments.
 
During the training, based on the University’s Student Orientation Guide, Research Assistants Hilal BÜYÜKTOPAÇ ÇAKICI and Mehtap TEMİZ from the Nursing Department introduced the city of Bartın, our university, and our faculty, and provided information aimed at making campus life easier for students. They also presented on topics such as Quality and Accreditation Processes, Scientific and Social Activities, Research and Development Projects, Student Rights and Responsibilities, Effective Use of Resources, and Zero Waste Management.
 
Additionally, contributions and support were provided by Instructor Nilgün İNCEREİS from the Distance Education Application and Research Center, Tuğba BİRKİN from the library, and Dr. Eyüp ZORLU from the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center, who introduced their unit activities.
 
As part of the Student Orientation Trainings, on October 3, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özge ÖZGÜR, a faculty member of the Social Work Department, gave a training session on Types of Addiction and Combating Addiction.
