In collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing at the Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences and the Women and Leadership Club, a webinar titled “Awareness in Breast Cancer and Protecting the Future: From Fertility to Pregnancy” was organized as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 1–31). The event aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and highlight the impact of cancer treatments on women’s reproductive health. The webinar was held online on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 13:30 to 14:30.

The webinar began with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Elif KARAHAN, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Dr. Ayşegül MUSLU, a lecturer at İzmir Konak Vocational School, participated as the guest speaker. Dr. MUSLU discussed the importance of early detection and awareness of breast cancer, focusing particularly on fertility preservation, pregnancy planning, breast cancer during pregnancy, and motherhood after cancer treatment among women of reproductive age.

The event attracted strong participation and concluded with a question-and-answer session, during which participants shared their views and contributions and expressed their appreciation.
