Training on Environmental Awareness was organized at Our Faculty
Our Faculty's Department of Social Work organized an "Environmental Sensitivity Training" on December 28, 2023, with the aim of increasing students' awareness of environmental issues. In the training, Research Assistant Rıdvan TEMİZ from the Department of Social Work provided students with in-depth information on environmental topics. Within this scope, detailed information was given to students on fundamental issues such as environmental pollution, environmental degradation, nature, ecosystem, recycling, and environmental technology, presenting a broad perspective on environmental sensitivity.
In addition to environmental issues, the training addressed topics such as responsibility towards nature and the ecosystem, the effects of environmental pollution, the importance of recycling, and the future role of environmental technology. This not only informed students about environmental problems but also provided them with an opportunity to think in a solution-oriented manner and develop environmental responsibility awareness.
The goal of the training was not only to equip students with theoretical knowledge but also to integrate this knowledge into their daily lives and encourage them to act as environmentally conscious individuals. With this training, it is aimed to empower the new generation of professionals in the field of social work to take a leadership role in environmental sustainability and lead the community.
The Department of Social Work will continue to nurture its students as individuals who can contribute to a sustainable future by enhancing their awareness of environmental issues. Such education not only focuses on their specific fields but also instills sensitivity to global environmental problems, strengthening their sense of societal responsibility.
