The online “Organ Donation” event, moderated by Prof. Dr. Sevim ÇELİK, was held by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing on November 10, 2025, at 15:00. Güzide Çelik Özdemir, an expert in her field and Organ Transplant Coordinator at Istanbul Capital Hospital, attended the event as a guest speaker.

At the event, the role of the Organ and Tissue Transplant Coordination Centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health in national coordination was explained, and the organ donation process consists of the stages of the individual's notification of their donation decision, the definitive determination of brain death, obtaining family consent, and determining a suitable recipient. In addition, the vital importance of organ donation was emphasized at the event, and the fact that one donor can save the lives of many patients was discussed, as well as the misconceptions in society about organ donation. The online event, organized to raise awareness about organ donation, was held with the participation of 85 people. The event concluded with a question-answer session where participants' questions were answered.
