The First Aid Training, which was held for the second time at the First Aid Training and Trainer Training Centre, was successfully completed

The "First Aid Trainer Training Center", which is the first and only centre in our region by the Ministry of Health, held the second certified first aid course for the academic and administrative staff and students of our University between 9-10 December 2023.

First Aid Training Centre instructors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif KARAHAN, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hilal UYSAL and Lecturer. Assoc. Dr. Emine ÜSTÜN GÖKÇE, who completed the theoretical and practical trainings, showed great success by taking the theoretical and practical exams organised by the Provincial Directorate of Health. The second certified training of our First Aid Training and Training Centre was completed with 100% success rate. Participants who successfully completed the exams of applied and theoretical training were entitled to receive the 'First Aid Authorisation Certificate' and 'First Aid Identity Card' approved by the Provincial Directorate of Health, valid for three years.

The Director of the Centre, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik emphasised the importance of first aid practices in the struggle to save lives and emphasised the great need of the society for individuals with first aid knowledge and skills with the natural disasters we have experienced in recent years. Prof. Dr. Sevim Çelik stated that the certified first aid training course approved by the Ministry of Health, which is in high demand, will serve not only the staff and students of our University but also all our people in other periods and thanked BARU Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Uzun, who pioneered the establishment of the centre.
