Our Nursing Department students and advisors received 5 awards from the 1st International 21st National Nursing Students Congress.

Our department students and advisors attended the 1st International 21st National Nursing Students Congress hosted by Ondokuz Mayıs University on 11-12 May 2023 with 19 oral presentations. 5 of the 30 awards given within the scope of the congress were given to the papers presented in our department.
In the Educational Material Competition held at the Congress, Physical education material for the game “Health Gain” developed by Yakup Önal, Zehra Taşkaya, Sema Nur Savcı and Fatih Yılmaz, under the consultancy of Assoc. Dr. İlknur Dolu, titled “The Attitude of the Society on the Role of Nurses in Rational Drug Use and Knowledge Level of Rational Drug Use: Cross-sectional Study”. received the award.
In the Gender Studies Competition held within the scope of the Congress, under the consultancy of Dr. Instructor Simge Öztürk, Osman Bozdemir, Sefa Kavaklı, Bilal Dalkıran and Nursena Eren's papers titled "The Relationship of Cyber Dating Violence with Gender Perceptions and Personality Traits" received the First Prize. In the same competition, under the consultancy of Instructor Ebru Cirban Ekrem, the papers of İlayda Yıldırım, Gizem Mutlu, Nisa Ün and Sümeyra Karadeniz titled “The Relationship between Gender Perception, Fertility Awareness and Reproductive Pressure of Women in Fertile Age” received Honorable Mention.
In the presentations presented at the congress, Under the supervision of Instructor Ebru Cirban Ekrem, Sude Uçman, Rümeysa Kabadayı, Mehmetcan Yiğit's research titled “The Effect of Digital World Awareness Education Given to Nursing Students on Digital Literacy, Digital Addiction and Cyberbullying Levels” supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 2209-A Student Research Projects Support Program received the award.
Under the consultancy of Assoc. Dr. Hilal Uysal, Mahircan Gökçe, Ayça Karabacak, Emrehan Yiğit and Özenç Aybek's research titled "The Effect of Video-Assisted Education on Smoking Cessation on the Harmful Effects of Smoking and the Importance of Quitting" received Honorable Mention.
