Mentor Nurse Training Program Organized
Bartın University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Nursing Department, on 24.02.2023 at 13.30 online via Zoom, Head of Nursing Department Assoc. Dr. A Guide Nurse Training Program was organized under the moderation of Elif KARAHAN. 15 volunteer guide nurse candidates working in hospitals and institutions in Bartın province participated in the training. During the training, which lasted for 8 hours in total, information was transferred by the faculty members of the Nursing Department on 8 subjects under the headings of Program Description, Guidance Nursing, Clinical/Field Teaching, Learning Styles, Leadership, Communication, Conflict Resolution, Evaluation of Clinical/Field Practices. In the training, which was attended with great interest, mutual views were exchanged on the problems that students and guide nurses may encounter in clinical/field practices and their solutions. At the end of the training, which was actively spent by answering the questions, the head of the Nursing Department Assoc. Dr. Elif KARAHAN stated that the dedication and support of our volunteer guide nurses is very valuable for our students and us. The program ended after the participants who expressed their satisfaction with the program thanked the trainers and the organizing committee. According to the results of the satisfaction survey; It was observed that the guide nurses were satisfied with the training and demanded that the trainings be given at regular intervals.
