Early Warning System for Pressure Sores will be developed with new generation smart tracking systems at BARU!

Project studies carried out within the scope of TÜSEB-C group Smart Tracking and Treatment Systems, financed by the Presidency of Turkish Health Institute, under the leadership of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, where Bartın University (BARÜ) is located, are starting.Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Health Sciences faculty member Prof. Dr. Arzu İLÇE is the executive director of the project, and the research team of the project includes Research Assistant from the Nursing Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences of our university. Assist. Özge UÇAR takes place. With the project 'Development and Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Based Pressure Wound Early Warning System with Infrared Thermal Camera', it is aimed to develop an early warning system that can prevent pressure sores, which are becoming increasingly common today.

 

Artificial intelligence will prevent pressure sores

With the increasing population and health problems, the need for smart systems and artificial intelligence in the health sector is also increasing. With the 'Development and Implementation of Artificial Intelligence Based Pressure Wound Early Warning System with Infrared Thermal Camera', an artificial intelligence-supported pressure sore warning system will be developed in order to prevent pressure sores, which are accepted as a quality indicator in the field of health, and will be implemented in 3 pilot hospitals in the Western Black Sea Region and implemented with a 3-stage project. With this study, an artificial intelligence module health technology will be developed that can prevent the development of pressure sores, visualise early tissue damage, have its own server and create early warning.
