Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, Held the “End-of-Term Evaluating Meeting” for the 2025–2026 Spring Semestr

The 2025–2026 Spring Semester End-of-Term Evaluation Meeting, organized by the Nursing Department of Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences to strengthen student participation and contribute to the continuous improvement of education and training processes, was held online on May 22, 2026, at 12:30 PM, chaired by the Head of the Nursing Department, Prof. Dr. Ayfer Bayındır Çevik.

The meeting provided an opportunity to evaluate students’ experiences and perspectives regarding theoretical courses, laboratory training, clinical placements, assessment and evaluation procedures, academic advising services, and activities conducted within the framework of quality assurance. The importance of student engagement in satisfaction surveys, feedback mechanisms, and continuous quality improvement initiatives was also emphasized.

Particular attention was given to the role of student participation in quality assurance and accreditation processes, highlighting the contribution of student feedback to the ongoing enhancement of educational quality and program development. In addition, discussions focused on the ethical and professional values that underpin the nursing profession, including respect for patient rights, protection of privacy and confidentiality, respect for human dignity, empathy, effective communication, accountability, justice, and professional conduct in nursing practice.

During the meeting, students shared their experiences related to course content, laboratory education, and clinical training. They provided constructive suggestions regarding the enhancement of learning opportunities, the diversification of clinical experiences and laboratory activities, the continuation of professional development initiatives, and the strengthening of feedback processes within the program.

The meeting also included discussions on social responsibility projects, volunteer activities, student club initiatives, and participation in scientific and professional events. Emphasis was placed on supporting students’ academic, social, cultural, and professional development through a holistic educational approach.

The Department of Nursing extends its sincere appreciation to all students who participated in the End-of-Semester Evaluation Meeting and contributed to the continuous improvement of the nursing program through their valuable feedback and recommendations.
