Bartın University Holds Meaningful Awareness Event on World Obesity Day
The Nursing Department of Bartın University's Faculty of Health Sciences, as part of its Pediatric Health and Diseases Nursing course, conducted a "Healthy Nutrition and Obesity Awareness Training" on March 4th, World Obesity Day. The events, held between March 3-6, 2026, took place at 15 July Martyrs Primary School, Bartın Borsa İstanbul Secondary School, and Bartın Borsa İstanbul Kindergarten, all under the Bartın Provincial Directorate of National Education. During the event, students were informed about the importance of healthy eating, the causes of obesity, and ways to prevent it. The training aimed to raise awareness among children about balanced nutrition, the importance of physical activity, and healthy lifestyle habits. Educational and fun activities were also held to ensure the active participation of the students.
