Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department Students Raised Awareness About Sexual Abuse of Earthquake Victims

Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Department students provided sexual abuse training for children in Mehmet Rıfat Efendi Student Dormitory.

The earthquake that took place in 10 provinces on 06.02.2023 greatly affected human life, but also brought the risk of violence, abuse, neglect and separation of children from their safe environments. Considering these risks, Bartın University Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing students and sexual abuse training for children was given by Lecturer Dr. Simge ÖZTÜRK. The training consisted of an animation film and presentation content specially prepared by the students. The training ended with the students expressing the methods of protecting children from sexual abuse and getting practical feedback.
